One Hour Heating & Air Conditioning’s Avon, Ohio Location Gives Back to Local Community

The One Hour Heating & Air Conditioning location in Avon, OH has been trying each year to find more ways they can give back to their community. Throughout November and December of 2020, the office conducted a handful of community outreach programs.

The Gift of Heat

During the holiday season, the Avon location gives away two free furnaces, including installation. This is an effort they’ve been doing every year. The team posted on their social media platforms asking for nominations on families who could benefit from the free furnace. In 2020, they had more than 26 nominations come in of those who are in need of heat. They ended up giving away three furnances instead of two!

“It brings us so much joy to hear how appreciative the nominees are once they hear that they have been nominated and are a finalist for the donation, “ said Alexandria Piscione, Sales Lead Coordinator. “Just hearing the happy cries and ‘thank yous’ of the recipients is such a simple reminder of what the holiday season is all about.”

Holiday Gift Donations

Throughout the 2020 holiday season, the Avon location also partnered with Catholic Charities, and several of their team members adopted a family to provide gifts, such as toys, clothing, and other necessities for children. In total, the office staff donated gifts to more than 30 children!

“Being able to provide for the families who are unable to provide takes so much weight off their shoulders, and we were so happy we were able to partner with them this year,” said Alexandria.

Rainbow Babies Donation

Starting in November through mid-December 2020, the Avon office also donated $10 from every tune up to Rainbow Babies, part of the Children’s Miracle Network. The office’s donation totaled $2,500!
