In November 2020, the staff of One Hour Heating & Air Conditioning of Northshore swapped their tools for the day to help build homes for those in need.
Amy Ragan, the location’s Marketing Director, has volunteered with Habitat for Humanity previously and brought the idea to the One Hour team in 2019. They’ve volunteered two years in a row to help build houses for those in need.
“We started volunteering with Habitat in 2019 and are proud to be a part of something that helps individuals live in a safe home and teaches homeowners the importance of finances, job security, and more,” said Thomas Livaudais, Manager for One Hour Heating & Air Conditioning of Northshore.
The One Hour team had the opportunity to work on two houses simultaneously alongside a crew of on-site professional construction staff. The houses were right next to each other, giving the team an opportunity to bond while working together to do some good in the community.
“Our team had the opportunity to meet the future homeowner and learn about her family,” stated Livaudais. “Knowing we are making a difference to someone in our community means the world to us.
